Our Dentists
Dr. Barbara LaMere-Heck, D.D.S.
Gosport Dental Clinic was founded by Dr. Barbara LaMere-Heck in 1981. Dr. LaMere-Heck graduated from Indiana University with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, and then again from IU School of Dentistry in 1980. Following graduation, Dr. LaMere-Heck worked as an associate dentist before opening her own practice. She has three children and four grandchildren, whom she loves spending time with! In docs free time you can find her walking through the park!
Dr. Lexie Heck-Britton, D.D.S.
Lexie is Dr. Heck’s youngest daughter. She attended Indiana State University where she obtained a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. After graduation, Lexie attended IUPUI to complete the dental school pre-requisites. Following, she attended dental school at Indiana University School of Dentistry and graduated with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in May of 2025. Prior to dental school, Lexie was a dental assistant at the office as well as performing administrative duties. Lexie has one daughter, Eloise, who she enjoys spending time with outside of work.

Jessica Killbride
Dental Assistant & Insurance Specialist
A Gosport native, Jessica trained at Ivy Tech and the Dental Careers Foundation. As both an X-ray certified assistant and insurance-savvy staffer, she bridges clinical care and patient support seamlessly. Outside of work, she loves yoga, hiking with her dogs, and cheering on her kids, Olivia, Lilly, and Andrew.
Cayla Kientz-Gelinas
Insurance Coordinator & Certified Dental Assistant
Our expert insurance coordinator since March 2022, Cayla also holds certifications in radiography, fluoride application, polishing, and nitrous sedation. At home, she enjoys outdoor adventures with her husband, Andrew, daughter Chandler, son Mather, and her stepchildren Aleeah and Weston.
Kristi Arnold
Dental Assistant & Front Office Support
Joining us in 2022, Kristi supports both front office and clinical tasks with positive energy and professionalism. A former server and golf coach, she brings teamwork and smiles to every patient interaction—then heads home for long walks with her schnauzer, Konan, or a round of golf.
